To kick off The Sound Feed‘s first ever Irish Tour, we had an easy decision to make as to where our first destination was going to be. A place brimming with an inordinate amount of talent over the last few years, Dundalk has been a driving force behind the independent Irish music Renaissance.
We hit up the iconic The Spirit Store on George’s Quay and kicked off with an interview with the wonderfully talented gentleman that is Shane Clarke, who performs under the moniker of Elephant. After the huge success of his debut album, HyperGiant, Elephant became sought after as an accompanying act for big Irish names such as Hamsandwich and Lisa Hannigan. He was also voted by his peers as the best act at last October’s Hard Working Class Heroes, voted for by the other almost 100 acts who played the festival. 2017 will see the release of new material, will a sophomore album expected in the second half of the year.
