Rogue – Interview

Formed in BIMM Dublin, the self proclaimed Punchy – Funk Groove Gremlins have been spending much of the last 12 months working in the shadows writing recording and performing, they have been honing their alternative punchy funk rock craft. ROGUE! are hot off the back of a stellar headline show at the Harbour Bar and more recently a single launch in Hangar, for their track ‘Celebrity‘ ft. Irish Rapper LAWRIII CRAIC, a music video and song that is a deliberate satirical take on celebrity culture, fame and how it is obtained in todays society.

Starring Lawriii Craic, Jess Carew and Mark Mckenna (Eamonn from Sing Street). Bulging with energy and fun this video hopes to provide commentary on the Jenner/ Kardashian / Facebook fame generation. ROGUE!’s debut video was directed by Jack O’Higgins, shot by Cathal Mac Reamoinn and Oisin Gallagher and edited by Karl Caulfield, and has already had in excess of 18,000 views on Facebook it, furthermore the track itself is tipping along nicely on Spotify too, passing the first hurdle of 1,000 streams just over a month ago.

The Bray five-piece recently had their first outing on the Irish airwaves on RTÉ 2XFM on Dermot Lambert’s Garageland Ireland show, as well as playing at the Live On Air Festival a few weeks ago. Their next show is at The Harbour Bar on July 1st as part of the Guerilla Gigs sessions and they will be joined on the night by fellow BIMM act MUNKY and instrumental rock duo Bicurious. We were delighted to have ROGUE! into The Sound Feed studio for some good lols and a kinky and wonderful performance to boot!
